I was recommended to see Dr John Limbers about my knee by a friend best advice I have ever hadI had put up with it for years I could only walk for five minutes then pain would kick in,Since having my knee replaced nine months ago I now have a great Quality of life back I’m 70years of age I am now walking ,working around the house ,all so woking casual as a bricklayers labourer , plus I’m back to playing Baseball and running bases freely, I have recommended DrLimbers to two of my friends who will now go to see him,I thoroughly recommend Doctor John Limbers.
Wonderful outcome of surgery for hip replacement - back on feet and home in a few days and very mobile extremely quickly. Minimal pain, no muscle issues. Anterior approach seems excellent for fast recovery
I had double knee replacement performed by Dr Limbers. The whole procedure from surgery through recovery and Physio had been a good experience with a great outcome. Knees are now good even to the extent of kneeling on them. My expectations have been exceeded
Very polite, friendly & approachableListens to the patientExplains things so patient understands what the procedure & how it is doneTakes his time does not rush you out the doorWill assess patient regardless of his old ageAfter care is explained & reassured that any problems or questions just ringNo out of pocket feesAll round very pleasant experienceDad had a a Rt mako robotic anterior total hip replacement at age 89Up & walking days later pain free 1 wk laterWould highly recommend Dr limbers
I had a left hip replacement with Dr. Limbers using the Mako Robotic Arm-Assisted in December 2021. I am very pleased with the outcome of the surgery. I am pain free and healing well. Dr. Limbers was very pleasant and explained the procedure very well and answered all my questions. I would certainly recommend him for orthopaedic surgery.
I could not rate this doctor more highly. Dr Limbers gave me a knee replacement in 2018 and then a hip replacement in late 2021. I commented here on the knee replacement under the name of Steve Wotshisface. The more recent hip replacement was quite amazing. The surgery was completely successful and I am back to my usual life again. Most importantly, the recovery time was remarkably quick. My recovery was commented on by many medical staff. The physiotherapists were surprised at my quick recovery. A nurse during my hospital stay said very quietly to me "all of Dr Limbers patients seem to recover quickly." The pain management nurse/ doctor(?) was surprised at how little medication I required in the days following the surgery. As with my knee post op, Dr Limbers was again actively interested in my recovery; not that there was much to do. I can only guess that the quick recovery is due to him being extraordinarily careful during the surgery. The anesthetist working with Dr Limbers on both of my surgeries was Dr Coonan. Again, no problems at all and he was very careful in discussing my medical history before deciding what to do during the surgery. A really nice bloke as well. From my experience I thoroughly endorse and recommend Dr Limbers, Dr Coonan, the San Hospital and their wonderful staff and I also recommend robotic surgery for hips and knees. If you read this good luck with your surgery!!
Life changing! Explained exactly why a knee replacement was required and clearly explained the operation and recovery processes. Would absolutely not hesitate to have another replacement done on the other knee if required. Amazing experience, thank you John
Dr Limbers done my full right knee replacement using Mako robot procedure 6 weeks ago. From the operation to the recovery has been amazing. With a 125 bend and 0.1 straightening I couldn’t ask for a better outcome. Dr Limbers is very professional explaining everything in terms that I could understand. He was so helpful with the questions and concerns that I had. My incision is on the right of my knee which during physiotherapy I noticed that I was the only one. He explained it was for better bend and to be able to kneel again. Which I am able to do. I recommend Dr limbers to anyone getting a knee replacement.
I had a full knee replacement by Dr Limbers in June 2021 which went extremely well.I was pain free and walking without any aids within three weeks.I felt very confident prior to the operation as Dr Limbers explained in detail how he would perform the surgery. His admin staff are very pleasant and helpful to deal with.I would highly recommend Dr Limbers and his team.
Highly recommend Dr Limbers if you need a hip replacement. Less than 4 weeks and completely pain free, walking normally again and back to playing golf, (walking). Whole process from op, to post op and rehab physio, all by medical staff who showed they care. Thanks John, I'll be back.Update. Runner up in golf club championship this year 4 mths later walking. Yes that hip is fixed...
I am a retired Geriatrician. Unfortunately I suffered from bilateral hip osteoarthritis progressing to the stage that I was no longer able to ride my bike, mow the lawn or even walk my dog.Dr John Limbers performed bilateral hip replacement surgery and the operation has truly changed my life.I was out of hospital in 5 days, underwent rehabilitation at home and now 6 weeks later I have resumed all the above activities with minimal discomfort and continue to improve week by week. His expertise and kindness has changed my life.I will be forever thankful.
Dr John Limbers operated on my ankle a few months ago. I have suffered from inflammation and chronic pain for around 10 years after unsuccessful surgery from another surgeon. My ankle has improved immeasurably. I can now walk with a straight leg. My hip pain has gone and my knee pain has reduced considerably. I am cross training, playing walking football and bush walking. I have more mobility and strength in my ankle than I have had in 15 years. My quality of life has increased and I hope to start running again in the new year.Dr Limbers has a caring manner which I have not always found with specialist surgeons. I am very pleased to have chosen Dr Limbers for my surgery.
I went to see Dr Limbers not knowing the extent of my hip degeneration. I answered “yes” to all his questions re pain, discomfort, limited ability and movement. I needed a R Robotic hip replacement, which has been such a wonderful improvement for me. Dr Limbers explained everything, put me at ease, his office girls are very professional as well. My recovery went as planned, and I’m very happy with the result. Thank you, Dr Limbers.
I had bilateral robot assisted Mako knee replacement 6 weeks ago. The scar runs along the side of the knee, making kneeling a lot easier. My wife had the traditional method, lots more bruises and pain. Still some residual pain left, but easily manageable. Very Happy! Had my first walks in the bush 3 weeks after
Dr Limbers performed a total (double) hip replacement on me and 6 weeks after the operation, I am able to walk a kilometre plus daily, without any pain. I would strongly recommend Dr Limbers to anyone needing hip surgery.
I have just had my follow-up consultation with Dr Limbers after my second total hip replacement. I am so pleased to have found such a great orthopaedic surgeon. After suffering chronic hip pain for several years prior to my first surgery, I was amazed that I was virtually pain free immediately when I woke up from the anaesthetic. I therefore had no hesitation in making an appointment with Dr Limbers soon after experiencing pain in my other hip. Once again, I had no pain after the surgery and I am now able to live my life much the same as before the first surgery. Dr Limbers explained the procedure at the first consultation and has been very supportive throughout. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone suffering hip pain.
I had a knee replacement op. At six weeks, I am way ahead re recovery time/condition, and pain free (for the first time in years!). Cannot recommend John Limbers more highly (and it’s the general consensus when you ask those in the known in the area). Professional, very capable, and easy to talk to. I am grateful I went with John - Thank you very much.
When I knew it was time for a full hip replacement at 75yrs old I asked a friend, a nurse with many years experience in orthopaedic wards who they would recommend for my surgery. Dr. Limbers was there answer. I underwent robotic surgery on my right hip, spent 2 nights in Hospital and walked in my front gate on the 3rd day with the aid of only a walking stick. From that day on I had no need for pain medication. My 6 week return visit to Dr.Limbers showed excellent results and I was back on the road cycling the next day. My Nurse was right and Dr. Limbers gets 10/10 as a surgeon with a bedside manner as pleasant as the man himself. Thanks Docll Kind Regards Chris
The surgery performed by Dr Limbers went very well and the outcome was much better than I expected. I had a partial knee reconstruction and I was walking without pain and driving only five weeks after the operation. The physiotherapy at Gosford Private Hospital was outstanding and my recovery was excellent.
A very good doctor. I had knee replacement surgery 3 years ago and it has been life changing. Dr Limbers has all the things you want in a surgeon; first and foremost he did a great job on the surgery; secondly I never felt abandoned in the post op care; and thirdly he showed kindness and compassion from the first consultation to the last. A nice bloke and very competent in my experience.
I had a horrible 4 year journey, with a painful hip restricting life. Was this going to be my retirement after working hard?Others, all with good results, recommended Dr Limbers,Approaching the first consult, I was anxious and apprehensive about the future. It did not take Dr Limbers long to put me at ease.I found Dr Limbers to be very personable and informative, with the ability to answer my many questions in a way that I understood. He was very inclusive, sourcing my wife's view of my journey. In theatre I consider Dr Limbers to be a brilliant surgeon, as judged by my results. It is now 6 weeks and I have experienced a rapid return to a quality of pain free life I had not experienced in many years. Now back into life, riding a bike, swimming, bowling and looking forward to getting back on the golf course soon, ALL pain free.Would not hesitate in recommending Dr Limbers to one and all.
I would like to thank Dr Limbers for the excellent result I have experienced from having a total knee replacement on my left knee. He is an excellent surgeon who demonstrated care and kindness towards me prior to, during and following my operation. I would not hesitate in recommending Dr Limbers to any person considering orthopaedic surgery. Thank you very much Doctor. Patricia Bale
I did a great deal of homework before choosing Dr Limbers to do bilateral (two) knee replacement on both my pain ridden knees. I had heard so much conflicting information out in the market place about different surgeons that it was of the utmost importance that I choose well. My excellent results is a true and accurate testament of how accomplished Dr Limbers is at his profession. I recommend him with the highest degree of sincerity. I am walking freely after five weeks from date of surgery. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better result.
Dr John Limbers performed a bilateral total knee replacement for me 6 weeks ago. I am now fully recovered, pain free and looking forward to conquering my goals. The whole surgery was amazing, appointments efficient with excellent information, advice and individual care.Cannot fault any aspect. Thank you, very much to the entire team.
Christine BerthelemyDr Limbers is very professional and friendly and explained my hip replacement in full detail. I was booked for surgery within 4 weeks. The care and attention I received from my first appointment to the 6 week follow up was excellent. The procedure and all the staff at Gosford Private were amazing Doctors, Nurses Physio and the lovely catering staff could not be more caring and attentive. The food was plentiful and extremely enjoyable. Facilities were very clean and well looked after.Dr Limbers office staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times.I would recommend Dr Limbers to anyone looking for an orthopaedic surgeon he is a very special specialist!
I totally recommend Dr Limbers and the team at North Gosford Private. I have had a total knee replacement and Dr Limbers explained the process clearly and is a wonderfully approachable specialist who has now given me a pain free knee! Rehab at North Gosford Private afterwards (two, two hourly sessions per week) has been super.
Thank you John for your expertise and attention and friendly manner.Your pre-op and post-op information has been spot on, in regards to my right knee replacement, and what to expect.Just had my 5 and half weeks follow up, and all has gone extremely well. The operation has given me a pain free joint, and the only ask is, can you now fix my golf after 20 yrs of a right knee, that was worn out.Thank you - much appreciated.CheersGraham Boland
Five weeks since second total knee replacement. Very professional in the way everything was handled from explaining how the surgery was going to be performed and what improvements I will experience post surgery.
Great surgeon who is friendly and patient focused. Needed to have both my knees replaced due to Osteoarthritis. Six weeks post op, no pain, walking 30 mins a day and 10 mins on exercise bike. Will only get better from here. Thanks Dr Limbers
My experience with DR Limbers. I found him to be very good he came highly recommended from my GP. I had both knees replaced at the same time hesitant at first but after having the operation from Dr Limbers recommendation to have both done at the same time has been a huge success for me. I would highly recommend Dr Limbers to anyone who is looking down the barrel of 1 or both knees to be replaced.
Six weeks post surgery and feeling so much better than pre surgery. My new knee feels great, my recovery has been so much better than expected and at 4 weeks my knee bend measured 110 degrees, which is way ahead of expectations. Thanks to the skills of this surgeon my recovery is better than on track, and with very little pain. So happy with the whole procedure.
I have had four operations with Dr John limbers. All were done in a Higley professional manner. My recovery time and pain relief was in a minimal time. I strongly recommend Dr John Limbers and his team to everyone.
I am 6 weeks post surgery, and I am feeling great, I did not realise how much pain I was in until I woke up after the surgery. I am looking forward to getting back to my walks and swimming and the gym.Thank you Dr Limbers for giving me back quality of life. I am very happy.
6 weeks ago I had a total anterior robotic hip replacement performed by Dr John Limbers.Am still amazed at the result with only two nights in hospital, minimal pain throughout and today I am fully recovered and would not know there'd been an operation.
After four weeks, my knee is brilliant. What a relief to have so little pain after hobbling around for months. Robotic arm surgery, I believe, is much easier on the body than more traditional techniques.
I had a total hip replacement 7 weeks ago and am delighted with the results. I was walking with a stick on the day after the operation. Back doing aqua aerobics after 5 weeks and am now walking with confidence although I use my stick outside. The whole experience has exceeded my expectations. Dr Limbers and his team made sure I was well informed with additional material to refer to. A slight blip (a sore throat) was dealt with sensitively and a new date for my operation was given within 3 weeks of the first date. I would highly recommend Dr Limbers and his team.
I had a full knee replacement 6 weeks ago, after years pain, and found the whole experience impressive. I was walking unassisted within a week and plan to return to work on week 7. I can thoroughly recommend Dr Limbers and his team as well as the 360 physio program which assisted in my recovery.
Very pleased with total knee replacement via robotic surgery. The new knee is pain free and my mobility is greatly improved 6 weeks after the operation. I have been assured that the improvement in functionality will continue for the next 6-12 months, so all in all an excellent result.
Twelve years after my first TKR, you can understand my apprehension whenI was told I needed a second TKR. The SAN introduced me to Dr.John Limbers and he recommended the MACRO ROBOTIC TKR. Allelujia!! what a difference 12 years can make. Different Surgeon and different Method. Consequently, a quicker recovery and faster mobility. Thanks so much to the professional skills endowed to Dr. J. Limbers and his friendly and jovial manner. Will certainly recommend him to my dear and suffering friends. Anita Curtis
I suffered for many years with knee pain, that affected my quality of life. Finally, in desperation, I asked my very helpful GP Dr Howard Oxley to refer me to the best Orthopedic Surgeon he knew in my area ! My GP did a great and wonderful service in referring me to Dr John Limbers !My experience right from my first interview with Dr John Limbers, last interview and all surgical procedures in hospital was 'first class'.Initially, Dr Limbers demonstrated the Mako Robotic knee surgery procedure, and asked me if I would like to take part in the 360 Patient Partner Program he has introduced for patients pre and post surgery physiotherapy needs.A wonderful 360 Patient Partner Program physiotherapist Denise Korhonen took me through the 8 week program via virtual video daily exercises and bi-weekly interviews with great care, professional advice. and kind attention. The program also supplied a free Garmin watch, and an inflatable knee unit for applying ice packs post surgery.I can highly recommend the 360 Patient Partner Program Dr Limbers advises to patients, as well as sincere gratitude to the nurses and physiotherapists of Gosford Private Hospital who looked after me so kindly and professionally. The result ? At 78, after 6 weeks, I am now walking 'Prince' my precious Welsh Corgi over 4,000 steps a day, including gardening, and daily duties all without pain, and without a stick !!Thank you Dr John Limbers, Denise Korhonen, and GP Dr Howard Oxley from a very satisfied patient.Harold Gibbs JP
I have had three operations with John limbers. Each operation has had exceptional results. The latest being a total knee replacement.which has had great results. I can highly recommend John from the beginning to the end. The other two operations involved pins and plates and I would not know there was ever anything wrong.
Dr.John Limbers performed hip surgery on me 6 weeks ago. With the help via IPad with his Physiotherapist I am back to walking with no pain . I would be happy to recommend Dr.Limbers professionalism and care to anyone.
After getting second opinion I decided to go with Dr limbers based on 2 other people using him. I am so happy with my result having a full left knee replacement. I have just had 6 week check up and the improvement is excellent. No pain and very mobile. 360 runs in conjunction so you get great service with physio exercises before and 6 weeks after.Would thoroughly recommend Dr limbers.
I am a medical doctor & researched the top surgeons for my knee replacement. My experience with Dr Limbers has been first class from my initial consultation, the operation & with his ongoing care. I am now over 6 weeks post op & feeling stronger with minimal pain. I would highly recommend his extraordinary service.
I had my double surgery cancelled it March due to COVID 19I had my surgery Rescheduled On 2nd JulyI,m now home feeling so happy with everythingDr limbers is a professional,I would not hesitate in using him again if neededI,m up walking , I can actually stand up straight without kicking out my buttThe pain I had for last 2 years has completely gone , I,m so happyWith everything , I can’t wait untill I heal so I can get my life backJust to walk without thinking about it is amazing , thankyou dr limbers and team ,having both hips done at same time is so worth it ..Best regardsTracey peterson
I had both hips replaced (10 weeks apart) by Dr Limbers and have had excellent results with both. Additionally, the recovery time was very short.Dr Limbers is not only a superior surgeon but he is also conscientious, visiting every day while I was in hospital. I now have two perfect hips that will last me the rest of my life. Highly recommended!
I was really impressed with the Dr Limbers and the way he addressed my meniscus injury. I had this injury which required surgery. I feel so good after the surgery and cannot thank him enough.I was initially advised by someone else that I would not require surgery after reviewing my MRI and would be fine after a few weeks, 8 weeks had past with no change to the pain in my leg and knee area. Thankfully a visit to Dr Limbers saved me the agony or continuing with the injury, two weeks later the surgery was carried out and I am a new man ! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you Sir !
Dr Limbers did my TRH in Jan 2020.I would 110% concur with all the 5/5 previous reviews; Dr John is not only a great surgeon but his 'bed side manner' at the referral, in surgery, immediate post-op check, and 6 week follow-up where exceptional. Don't get me wrong, you should choose a surgeon on skill and results but the non-tangible comes into it too. In my case, I am very technically oriented and cross check everything at work and home. No different here; I consulted three surgeons and although they were all good, Dr John out scored them not only technically but also on the human side so that I felt comfortable to ask technical and medical questions more than adequately. He listened carefully to not only my questions but also my suggestions for certain types of prosthetics that he happily gave me pros and cons for.Another thing to consider - although Dr John is good he knows he can do better ... by using a robot (Mako) as part of the surgery; it assists in getting the position as correct as possible. He will explain better than I, but it is a no brainer that a technical or medical person should use the best tools available to them. If they can get better accuracy and a better result, costs considered, then why not use it? This was one of my main criteria was to find a surgeon that used a Mako robot to assist and get the 'replacement parts' put into the right angle, distance and length. I wanted as close as possible a natural result as I am young and do a lot of sports with my kids - Dr Johns achieved that in spades. I am very pleased.
I recently had my right knee replaced by Dr John Limbers, and found the whole procedure from beginning to end highly professional. Dr Limbers “Robotic Procedure” replaced my knee in 1 hr. Pain management was excellent, I had minimal swelling, and I was up and moving around much faster than I thought would be possible - & I’m 86 years young -:). Within 4 weeks, having followed my exercise/physiotherapy plan I’m walking up & down steps independently (no walking aidrequired or assistance). I can’t speak highly enough of DrLimbers & his knee replacement procedure. I found him to be a very caring man, & his staff happy & caring which helped me feel more relaxed and supported through a rather anxious time.
August 2015 I had bunion surgery. Was told to be at Wyong hospital 7.30am I’d be one of the first to be done, living in western Sydney I left home at 5am, nothing to eat or drink from night before, it turned out to be a hot day and I’m still waiting to be done at 5pm still with nothing to eat or drink, only to be told Dr Limbers will have to cancel your operation as he is running behind. Was called up 2weeks later same thing, arrived there early wasn’t taken in till afternoon never saw Dr Limber at all, I have since read at the time I was having my op he was having a heart bypass, no wonder I didn’t see him he wasn’t there. On my last appointment with him at Gosford hospital before the operation I was told bunion removal large toe fusion and a pin in toe next to large toe. Obviously there was no communication between whoever did the operation as there are staples at base of all my other toes causing them to be fused Because of this it has altered the length of my stride, and the way I walk, I can’t bend my toes because they are all fused, why on earth this was done I’ll never know.Would I recommend Dr LimbersWhat do you think?
I had a Total Knee Replacement with Dr Limbers nearly 7 weeks ago, and found the experience much more pleasant than I had expected. Before the operation he explained the process to me very thoroughly, also referring me to a pre and post-op physiotherapist, at no cost to myself, who monitored my progress each day via a video link, setting and tailoring to my specific needs a very useful exercise regime.I have no hesitation whatever in recommending Dr Limbers, whom I found to be highly professional, courteous and very likeable.
I found Dr Limbers to be very friendly and professional when he explained the Mako Robotic Hip Replacement procedure that he performed on me last month. I recommend Dr Limbers to anyone considering this operation.
Hi, I am 67 and I felt I should share some info for others who may be considering a TKR.If you are living with knee pain and restricted movement related to the deterioration of the knee joint, I was. I was in considerable pain and it was affecting my movement and quality of life even driving and sleeping. I was referred to Dr Limbers and before attending I did my research (Dr Google) and found that Surgeons that have use the Mako Robotic System found it to be extremely precise (no guesswork) in positioning the knee and a lot less invasive which related to a quicker recovery for the patient.Dr Limbers spent time explaining all the Pros and Cons and I felt at ease when deciding to go ahead with the TKR op.I was operated on me 7/1/20.The pain after op is considerable but controlled be medication and the Physiothrapist will have you up the next day, it’s not easy but no pain no gain. I made a conscious decision before the op to apply myself after.Progress is a little slow and painful for the first few weeks but it gets better each week after. I now at week 6, still have some pain but very manageable. What I found extremely helpful for me was I joined a local Gym at week 4 and used the Gym bike no weight, it got the knee working well, for me it was a game changer.Good luck to those who are considering a TKR with the Mako system, I believe it’s the only way to go.Cheers Richard
Dr John Limbers what a Surgeon. I had a Mako Robitic Hip Replacement. All steps were explained. Fantastic that a Surgeon keeps up to date with new technology. 2 days in Hospital back to work in 1 week on light duties. All questions were answered regarding aftercare, he makes you feel at ease that nothing is a silly question and you are important. What a Credit to your profession. Keep up the good work. Thankyou Denise
I went to Doctor John Limbers for a total knee replacement in November 2019. Today marks twelve weeks since the surgery and I am happy to say that I am pain and medication free. I have returned to full time work and am enjoying experiences that we often take for granted such as a walk along the beach or a trip to the shops. Prior to surgery such ventures were met with pain and a high level of personal frustration, not to mention lots of medication to control the constant pain.I found Dr Limbers to have a professional and caring nature. From my very first consultation, to his daily visits while I was in hospital and then my follow up consultation. I felt my needs were valued and supported with every question I put to him answered in detail.I must also add that my anaesthetist, Dr Gray certainly put my mind at ease giving me a bit of a pep talk when I informed him of my ‘possible unrealistic’ fear of the anaesthetic process. The reception girls were wonderful and very friendly and the staff at Gosford Private, in the ward and in rehab were exceptional in their care and professionalism. All round Dr Limbers and his team made my journey as professional and comfortable as possible and I would highly recommend them for orthopaedic surgery.
Dr John Limbers is an excellent surgeon, with a friendly and caring personality. He explains all the details of the surgery in an easy to understand language. I previously had bilateral knee replacement by John with fantastic results, it has been eleven years with no problems. My hip replacement in November was a breeze, back at home in 3 days, an outstanding recovery. I would recommend John Limbers to anyone who wants to have the best surgical experience.
Thankyou Dr Limbers for being understanding and listening to my concerns. Dr limbers was very professional and honest and my ankle surgery was a great success, his reception staff were amazing friendly and helpful. I would recommend Dr Limbers to anyone.
A few months ago Dr Limbers completed my ankle surgery - he was, and continues to be, excellent. From the beginning he was open and clear about the process, he supported me through my surgery and continues to throughout my recovery. He is an excellent surgeon - if i ever have the need I would absolutely return to Dr Limbers.
Doctor Limbers performed a total replacement of my right hip on the 14th August.I was home three days after the operation. The results are amazing. After limping and experiencing pain and discomfort for too long, I now walk normally, easily and pain free.
Dr John Limbers performed my husbands knee replacement surgery and our family cannot recommend him highly enough. Both him and his surgery staff have been brilliant in their communications during this procedure and Dr Limbers is a highly skilled surgeon with an outstanding level of care. We Have since referred many friends to John for treatment and all have been as equally satisfied and pleased with their results.
The staff at Dr Limbers place at Gosford are friendly. He looked after my right hip replacement and I was out of hospital in 4 days and had great movement by 2 weeks. I was 64 at the time. I liked the way he explained the details of the operation and the follow-up was good. I will be going back to John to have the other hip done down the track. John has a very professional manner, but he is busy and has rare lapses in his people skills just as I do. I go to him for his skill as a surgeon.
September 2019: just had my follow up for an achilles repair and I’m very happy with my progress. Dr. Limbers has helped me advance my recovery much quicker than expected by stitching up my achilles, and I’ve tested his work a couple of time with awkward falls.. I’m ahead of where I expected to be right now and very thankful for his excellent work. If you want a good surgeon who makes top notch repairs, can’t recommend Dr John Limbers enough!
I recently had my total hip replacement operation performed by Dr Limbers. Dr Limbers was very approachable and explained the operation very clearly before it was performed. The result was amazing - far beyond my expectations. He managed my post-op care to such an extent that I was virtually pain-free. Two months post-op and I am now able to do many things that I was unable to do before the operation. Before the operation, I had difficulty walking at times because of the pain. I am now completely pain-free. I chose Dr Limbers as my surgeon because of the excellent recommendations I had received from previous patients. I was not disappointed.
I didn't get a chance to speak to the Doctor, however the secretary was very rude and abrupt. I am in the extremely difficult situation and was seeking an urgent assistance from the Doctor, however the same secretary tried to mislead me saying the Doctor doesn't work with the Public patients and it was obvious lie, then she was trying to talk over me without giving me a chance to say a word and after completing her monolog she just, without the warning, hang up the phone. I hope the Doctor has more manners and he is more professional than his staff.
Called, they asked for all my details.. name, DOB, injury, etc. Was then made to email my referral letter then waited TWO WEEKS for them to call me back to actually make an appointment. When I called to ask about it in between I was just told that I would be called back "once I"m in the system".Then at the time of call back I was then told it would be a FOUR MONTH wait to get that appointment.. no mention of this wait was given at my first call. I was politely asked to bring any scans with me... those scans would then be four months out of date.. and they cost $250.. so I would no doubt need new scans at that time as well.I waited two weeks with an ankle I can't walk on properly, during which time I could have gone back to my GP and found a more available doctor. No sympathy or comments whatsoever from the receptionist that this was not logical, no apology for the time I waited to hear back, no apology that they didn't tell me about the wait on my first call.I expect the doctor is very good, but I will never know, because I can't get in to see him. He should fire all his reception staff at least.
